December Glossybox

A lot of people seemed to have complaints about this Glossybox.  Something about discontinued products or something. I don't know, I was fairly pleased with it!

Tresemme Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo - $5.99/161 g
This is something I actually use all the time.  I love it!  Mainly for the volume, because my hair is extremely fine.  It's hard to do anything with it!  I find the dry shampoo works awesome for that.

Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 (Full size!) - $22.99/75 mL
This is also a product I use daily.  Always good to have an extra!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisterizer SPF 30 (Full size!) - $22.99/75 mL
This is something I've been wanting to try!  I've been wearing Stila's Tinted Moisturizer for months now, but I wore the Aveeno stuff on New Years and I honestly thought it was way better! I don't find the Stila Tinted Moisturizer actually moisturizes my skin, I always have to put moisturizer on underneath it.  The Aveeno stuff moisturizes way better!

Avon Glazewear Intense in the colour Sundance (Full size!)
I wasn't too excited over this, since I do sell Avon products and can get this very easily for a couple of dollars.  Also, I'm not a fan of Avon's glazewear products anyway.  I'll keep it, and I may wear it on occasion but I do have lip glosses that I like a lot better.

Revlon Nail Enamel in the colour Endless Possibilities (Full size!) - $5.99/15 mL
I believe this is one of the products people were saying was discontinued.  I didn't like it from the beginning anyway, and I was planning on giving it to my Mom because it's more of her kind of colour!  It being discontinued really doesn't bother me, cosmetic companies do that all the time.  As long as it wasn't discontinued because of something bad!

Glossybox Lashes (Exclusive to Glossybox) - $12.50/pair
I really, really want to try false lashes.  But unfortunately I'm allergic to the latex they use in the glue.  Hopefully I can find a glue that doesn't have latex.  If anybody has any suggestions that would be great!

Tresemme Split Remedy Sachet - $5.99/700 mL
I haven't tried this yet!

I also got a pair of Nobia X-Cessories earrings!  They're pretty cute!

November Glossybox!

So, I completely missed doing a blog post on October's GlossyBox.  Sorry!  School was almost too much for me last semester, I had no time for anything else.  I kept meaning to, but I never got around to it.  I've been off on my Christmas break for about 10 days now and it has been fantastic!  Two more semesters and a work term and then I'm finished!  I just want to do a quick run through of what came in October's, and then I will get into November!

In the October GlossyBox:  Jouviance Rejuvenating anti-aging cream, Modelco Flipstick Duo, Zoya Nail Polish (in the colour Loretta), Sebastian Professional Trilliance Shampoo & Conditioner, & Gilette Venus Olay razor.  Also included were some coupons, but I can't seem to find them at the moment!

Now on to November!

First, it came with some awesome wrapping!

And products!

Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor Holiday Shades (I got "All is Glam, All is Bright") (Full size!) - $10.99/15 mL
This is what it looks like painted on a bare nail

And this is what it looks like over red! (These are my nails tonight... sorry for the bad quality picture, it's from my iPod!

Kryolan for Glossybox Blusher in Glossy Pink (Exclusive to GlossyBox) - $16.73/2.5 g
I LOVE this colour on me!  I've only worn it once when I went out for supper with some girls from my class, but I really liked the way it looked on my skin tone.

Nexxus Salon Hair Care:  Hydration Kit - Shampoo, $9.99/400 mL; Conditioner, $14.99/400 mL
I haven't tried this yet!  I have a problem with using up travel sized shampoos & conditioners, I feel like I should save them for when I travel!  I haven't been travelling a whole lot since I went back to school, so it's starting to pile up.  Maybe I should start trying some.

Vitabath Body Wash - $18.00/170 g
I've been using this all month, and I love it!  I love using citrus scented products in the shower first thing in the morning.  I find that it really wakes me up!

Maybelline MNY My Gloss (Full size!) - $7.49/9 mL
I've also only used this once when I went out for supper with the girls.  I found it a bit sticky, but I really love the colour.

Curel Hand & Cuticle Therapy Cream (Full size!) - $3.99/100 mL
I think I've mentioned before, I'm obsessed with hand cream!  This stuff is really great.  It's not too greasy, so it's okay for me to put it on as much as I do! Ha ha.  I have it on my desk all the time so it's easy for me to reach whenever I feel I need some.

Uber Loyalty Card - Value of $20.00
This gives you 50% off something... I haven't really looked into it yet.  It must be with my October coupons because I can't find it right now! I'm sure it's somewhere, but I don't want to go look for it before I post this!

I'm sure I'll be coming back with Decembers GlossyBox very soon!  It's been sent out in the mail already, ha ha.  I also might try to take some pictures of my house decorated for Christmas if I can get some free time in the next few days.  Merry Christmas!

Busy week & new couch!

This week has been so busy for me!  I haven't stopped since Friday.  I took the evening on Friday to clean my house from top to bottom, and then I cooked a turkey for about 8 people on Saturday for Thanksgiving. It was super hectic because that day I got a new couch that showed up around 5 pm!  So then my wonderful, clean house was destroyed trying to unwrap and set up the couch quickly before anybody showed up (which didn't work, they came in the middle of it.)  Then from Sunday on, I was bombarded with school work and studying for a bunch of tests I had this week.  I just completed my third one, my last one is on Friday.  I cannot wait to relax this weekend!

Anyway, just wanted to take a minute to blog about my awesome new couch that I love so much!

It takes up almost my whole living room, but I don't care because my house finally feels like a home!  I had an old, ugly futon before this and I just felt like I was living in a dorm room for the longest time.  It's too high for my end table, so I stacked my lamp on top of a few big books so I can get some extra light, haha.  I just need a new entertainment centre for my TV & other things & my living room will be set!  I may paint the green tables though.  They don't go with anything any more!

September GlossyBox

I've been subscribed to GlossyBox for about 7 months now, I think. Out of all of those, September's GlossyBox is my favourite so far!

For starters, it came with this:

Wella Professionals Mirror Polish Shine Spray - $12.99/40 mL

Dove ClearTone - $3.99-$4.99/45 g

B. Kamins Lip Balm SPF 20 (Canadian Brand) - $21/15 g

B. Kamins Maple Body Lotion (Canadian Brand) - $41/180 mL

I loved all of these products.  I haven't used the Dove stuff yet, but I've used their deodorants before and thought the were really good.  The lip balm is really good too, but I'm not sure if I would purchase it for $21.  It seems a little pricey to me.  However, I probably would buy the body lotion for $41.  I really like this stuff, and I am also a lover of body lotions!  You could call be obsessive (blame it on my OCD).  Ask anybody who knows me, they know my love for body lotions.  And this stuff is good!

Now, for my favourite part of the GlossyBox!

NYX Cosmetics: The Crimson Amulet Collection. Limited Edition! - $25/Full Compact

I was SO excited when I saw this in my package.  I haven't tried it out yet, but I love NYX and I love make-up. The colours in it are so pretty.

My pictures don't do the colours justice.  It comes with 24 eye shadows.  My personal favourites are the pink and green colours.

In this part there are 4 lip colours, 5 blushes, a highlighter, liquid eye liner and eye shadow primer!

Also in the box was information on Art of Fashion, which you can like on facebook here.  And there was a coupon for 25% off at www.bkamins.com!

Avon Anniversary

I received an e-mail the other day informing that it was my one year anniversary selling Avon! So, in honour of that, I decided to blog an Avon haul!

I got this purple leaf pillow cover.  I have to say, they look way better than what the cushions looked like before.  They were old looking, gold corduroy pillows!

I think this Penguin Wreath Holder is just the cutest thing ever!  I can't wait to decorate for Christmas!

I have to be honest about these candle holders.  I do like them, but I was expecting them to be a lot bigger!  Sometimes I don't look at the measurements and that's something you really have to do when ordering from Avon.

I needed a mirror to do my make up in and I love the look of this one.  I broke the last two smaller mirrors I owned, so hopefully the same doesn't happen to this one.  I'm so clumsy!

(Ignore the mess in the background :P)  This is a recipe book stand, and I love it!  It sort of matches the paper towel holder I already own, and I really wanted something similar to this for my cook books!  I loove cooking, so this will come in handy.

This is it in use:

Anyway, that is all for now!  Hope you enjoyed :)

August Glossybox

Last week my August Glossybox came in!

1. Sebastian Potion 9 Lite - $20.95/150 ml
I'm actually not quite sure how you use this stuff.  I searched it and found a lot of mixed reviews with people using it different ways. I guess I'll just have to try it and see what happens.

2. Biore Make-up Removing Towelettes - $14.99/60
I've recently become a huge fan of make-up removing towelettes!  I bought a container of Balea towelettes from Shoppers not too long ago, but I think I like these Biore ones a bit more.

3. Kryolan For Glossybox - Special Edition: For Glossybox Members only (Full Size)
I got this in the colour "Glossy Pink." not sure if everybody got the same colour or not. I actually loved this and I wore it out last night.  I got home late and was way too tired to wash my make-up off, and it was still on when I woke up this morning and washed it off!  That's probably the longest time I've had my lipstick stay on.

4. Kryolan Classic Lipstick - $16.99/4 g (Full Size)
I got this one in a red colour.  The number for this colour is "LC101."  I don't often wear red lipstick, so I don't know when I'll ever try this out.

5. Befine Fine Food Skin Care - $24-$30/50-150 ml
I haven't tried any of these yet, but the company also sent a coupon for 20% off Introductory Order.  I'm definitely going to try it out and check out the website.  I'm always looking for new skin care products!

6. Trend Trunk Mystery Gift Card - Range from $5-$250
This is how it is described:  "A trusted social marketplace to buy, sell and donate your amazing new and pre-loved fashion in a fun, simple, and social way!  On Trend Trunk you can also share your style, lust items, ask your friends for advice, and follow fellow trendsetters and tastemakers.  We hope you'll love Trend Trunk as much as we do - so have fun and explore!"
My gift card had a value of $5. I haven't spent much time on the website yet, but the idea of it seems alright.

7. Elastoplast SOS Blister - $5.99/5 units

Thanks for reading!

New books!

I ordered things off the Chapters website not too long ago, and they came in last week.  It's mostly gifts, but I did get myself one book.  I'm not very pleased with the way Chapters packages their products, because this is the second time I've gotten damaged things from them.  Unfortunately I don't have time to return them, so hopefully the people I give them to aren't too unhappy with it.

Those books, and the gloworm, is what I got my Godson for his first birthday!  I didn't know what to get him, I don't have a child and I have no clue about 1 year olds.  So I was told that books are a good choice.  I loved my gloworm when I was a kid, so I thought that would be nice too!

I got this Marilyn book for my friend for her birthday.  This is the one that was damaged, as you can probably see from the picture on the right.  I'm not too happy, but there's not much I can do about it.  Maybe she can return it as a gift?

And finally, this is the book I got for myself!  Dale Jarvis runs the Haunted Hike here in Newfoundland.  I'm really into to creepy stuff like this, so I can't wait to read this!  He has other books that I'll eventually buy too, but I'm starting with this one.

I have a serious problem with buying books.  I have a long list of books I want to own, and an even longer list of books to read.  There's not enough time in the day!  Thanks for reading. :)
